The Baltimore Mid-Winter Bird Count, origionally scheduled
for Saturday, January 17, is being delayed one week
to Saturday, January 24. Why? The birds. Many of them will
be hunkered down in sheltered, brushy locations waiting out
the cold, rather than out & about to be counted. Additionally,
fewer people will want to be out in the cold counting them.
Accordingly, the Count will be on Sat. Jan. 24.
Please pass the word to anyone you know who was planning to
participate. Also, if you're interested in counting on
Sat. Jan. 24, please contact me so I can co-ordinate the
coverage and avoid duplicate coverage.
