Hi all just a quick note that a  quick trip out to the  farm fields north of Ridgely  in Caroline County  Md  on Friday Jan  16 , 2009  mid , late  afternoon  scouting for  a field trip I led  for the Talbot County Bird Club today .  I located  a  flock  Of 30 Horned Larks   containing  1 Lapland Longspur  on Marblehead  Road  .

  On the way home  back in Queen Annes County   at Rolling bridge  Rd at Rt 301  near Centreville  there  was  a huge  flock Of Snow Geese  that had 1  Richardsons Cackling Goose in  it .   Fast losing light I was not able to  find a  Ross,s  in it .
