Hi all,
The White-Winged Crossbills were seen today at about 11:00AM in the same
place mentioned by Joe Hanfman yesterday. I had to wait about 3 hours for
them to finally show up. There were 3 birds seen for about 15 minutes. I
female, and 2 males. They then flew off to the west and could not be
relocated. There were several hawks seen in the area and perching in the
hemlock trees which may have kept the crossbills from feeding more
regularly. Several other birders were also present.
Good Birding,
Chris Murray
