This morning (1/24) I was surprised to see an Eastern Phoebe fly into a small tree at the edge of the wetlands near the pavilion at the west end of Meadowbrook Park in Howard County. Somehow this bird had survived the recent Arctic blast. At the east end of the park, near the playground, I saw four Fox Sparrows. There was also one Field Sparrow. At our house two Pine Siskins have been visiting the thistle feeder.
