Jane Kostenko and I went over to Solomons around 9 am. While driving over the bridge into Calvert, we could see two separate flocks of Canada Geese. One was near the water while the other was near the road. We figured correctly that the GWFG would be in the flock less visible near the water. After scoping both flocks, we found the goose in a depression in the field feeding actively. Ray Sabella stopped by on his way south from Prince Frederick. After he left, we drove over and parked under the bridge near a break in the fence. We were much closer but the geese were barely visible. The GWFG would pop its head up just above the grass but that's really all that was needed to pick it out.

BTW, the bird has a bright orange bill making it one of the Greenland subspecies flavirostris. Couldn't see the legs and feet which we assumed were also orange.
