Hello Everyone,

Yesterday i went to Lake Elkhorn on Brokenland Parkway in Columbia. My goal was to find the Pine Siskins at the feeders by the house by the bridge which i succeeded but not by walking the 2 miles it would have taken me from the parking area but by parking in the nearest neighborhood and walking from there . WHAT A SETUP OF FEEDERS !! Happy birds all around including me.
When i first arrived at the parking area i saw a group of Canada Geese in the small pond . This being my first time here i found there was a bigger pond over the hill. As i was walking over the isthmus the geese were moving from one pond to the other . This was perfect for checking bill and leg color . Within the first minute i had orange legs orange billed goose flying over . I got pretty good views of this goose in the small pond . He was hanging with another that looked exactly like himself ( mostly white head and neck with brown patches ) except this one had a black beak . My fieldguides do not show this patchy bird for a Greater White Fronted goose . Can anyone verify ?

Saturday me and mom took a ride to JugBay hoping the possible Golden Eagle would just show up cause we werent planning on going very far from the car in that cold. There were a group of birders getting back to their cars so we asked if they found Golden Eagle . Answer no . They had 2 Adult Bald Eagle and one Juvenile that could be mistaken for a Golden .Saw Nothing exciting from our drive thru .
