*****earlier, I have a young male WW Crossbill at a single norway spruce tree across street from my place before a small flock of starlings landed on it and it took off to the east. It is one of 4 spruce trees in my neighborhood, had many hundreds small pine trees all over. Later after Loch Raven walk, on Worthington Ave, east of town of Glyndon, Baltimore County, had a small flock of crossbill sp. took off as I arrive before I got out of the car. Not sure which one as it was in flight before I could id's it. It was on long row of some kind of very tall spruce trees loaded with over 10,000+ cones. Between town of Glyndon and Timber Knoll Rd on Worthington Ave across from small horse farm that is surrounded by forest. Looks like more is on the way. I know we all still waiting for Red Crossbills to show up.
