I left the house this morning to visit the chiropractor for an adjustment to
relieve the pressure of a pinched nerve in my nip. I have had this problem
for a week and I am going through stir crazy not being able to go anywhere
to bird other then my rear window. There was no love at the Dr. as they
decided to close for the morning due to a little ice in the area.

I decided to gut it out and try to visit Jackson Pond in Columbia on the way
back to my house. It is a short walk to an area that has a lot of sparrow
and woodpecker activity I did not make it to the bridge where the sparrow
hang.
I only made it to the bench next to the pond that is in front of the house
with all the feeders. It was as far as I needed to go.

I was rewarded with my first White-winged Crossbill. There are several
conifers in the area, so there could be more. I will be going back as soon
as I am mobile in hopes of getting a longer look and maybe a pic.

The rest is the short list of a 10 minute stay.
