There are two larger reports of Snow Buntings on eBird in the last 10 years. 100 reported in December and January at Pax River NAS in 1999/2000 and 127 at Hart Miller Island 12/2/2000. There are also reports in the double digits throughout the period but 72 is the highest total since Pax and HMI. The largest reported flock was 300 at HMI on 1/4/1997.

Nice find!

SNOW BUNTING --72
The Snow Bunting flock was feeding on the road and viewed well for a few
minutes.  A car came and spooked the flock and it flew south.  Snow Bunting
was a county bird for everyone present and was bird species 250 for Mikey's
Garrett County list.  Matt Hafner said that 72 Snow Buntings may be the
largest flock of Snow Buntings observed in Maryland in the past 10 years.
