Hi all,
Today at the feeders, even more Pine Siskins than yesterday. There must be
over 60 out there, all over the ground, in the trees, and lined up and
waiting at the thistle feeders, though they seem to be feeding on sunflower as
well, and perhaps on white millet too. We scattered much seed on top of the ice
this morning, in the bushes and out in the feeder area, where we've attracted
hordes of hungry birds. juncos, House Finches and Goldfinches as well as the
siskins, and a N. Mockingbird has been coming to drink at the fountain, as has
a bluebird. Lots of crows and a single Blue Jay this morning too, and a
smattering of White-throated Sparrows.

I keep looking into the spruces, but so far only more siskins there.
