I want to thank Bill Hubick for posting about the Northern Shrike that I saw
this morning on Round Top Rd in QA County. The bird appears to work a
really large area and is only seen every few days by the Chino Farms
employees. A few miles to the south of the shrike sighting on Leverage Rd,
I came upon an extremely large flock of Horned Larks that was feeding in the
field close to the road. I estimate that there were around 300 Horned
Larks. I was able to work half the flock and was able to pull out at least
4 Lapland Longspurs and 5 Snow Buntings.

I then went to Tridelphia Resevoir and observed the Red-necked Grebe that
has been frequenting the opening in the ice.

In the afternoon, at the end of George's Landing Rd in Worcester County I
observed 3 Salt Marsh Sparrows that were found earlier in the morning by Ron
and Carol Gutberlet.

I then went to Deal Island WMA in Somerset County where a single dark phase
Rough-legged Hawk was seen.
