We were blessed to see the Snowy owl from the lab, thanks to Carol.  That
evening at dusk we went searching and got a private close up viewing.  It
was on the same chimney, then flew down to the ground several times, acting
like it was hunting.  It then flew behind the house, out of view.  Went back
this morning and couldn't find it anywhere.

 

We stayed the night in Oxford at a great B & B called the Ruffled Duck.
Long-tailed ducks, Common Goldeneye and Buffleheads there.

 

On to Blackwater where highlights were White pelicans, Pintails and several
thousand Snow geese that flew over our heads with a glorious sound.
