The Montgomery Bird Club trip today led by Jim Green enjoyed a frigid
but very successful day. We found both the Tufted Duck and the
Barrow's Goldeneye in Cambridge this morning. We didn't find the
Eurasian Widgeon this morning. And we also had no success then with
the Oxford Snowy Owl.
But mid-afternoon, Chris Wright and I want back to Oxford, and there
was the owl! It was roosting next to a metal rooftop flue, probably
where others have reported it today. We didn't catch the name of the
street, but we turned off the main road right after passing the
community center, and spotted it on one the houses to our right.
