Folks:

This Snowy Owl popped up on eBird and appears to be a new bird at a different location. Wroten Island is in Dorchester County to the east of the Honga Straits, probably visible from Upper Hooper Island.

The snowy owl has definitely expanded its southern range due to an
excellent
breeding season last year; however, it remains VERY rare in our area so
I
have taken the liberty of submitting the finding to eBird for their
database.
