Dear All
As Don reported the group (of 18 in total) moved off at 1.15pm southward but seemed not go very far. However, I searched for another 90 mins and did not refind them. They did appear settled, staying on the initial tree for nearly three hours and so I will keep an eye out in the 'hood and let people know promptly if they reappear.
If you are looking for them note that they are almost completely silent when feeding but are nonetheless very active. There are enough of them that a careful scan of trees holding the flock will pick up one or two moving very quickly. They also do spend some time flocking up and sitting on the tops of trees chorusing their chip calls - that's how I found them. So, they should be possible to relocate. As I say I'll give it a try.
Cheers
Gary
