I've been scanning the Osprey Nest looking for local Cackling Geese.
Based on your post, I ran out to Lake Artemesia, and found the Cackling
Goose, and most of the other waterfowl you mentioned.

Incidentally, I am really dubious about the split of the Cackling Geese
- but then I am a lumper from way back when! Reading Sibley's document
on Cackling vs Canada Geese did nothing to encourage me. Clearly though
this goose was a lot smaller, Just before I left, an obliging Mallard
climbed onto the ice beside it, and the "Canada Goose the size of a
Mallard" statement one hears and reads of was nicely demonstrated.
