Hi all,

Got up early, and went to Jefferson-Patterson Park. At first, I saw the gate that said "closed"
and got confused thinking the park was closed, I turned around.  I then went back and turned on what I thought was a residential street, it turned out to be the park's entrance! If you see Diamond Ct. on the left, the park entrance is on the right.
A couple of people were birding (Fallons?) and gave me wonderful directions to the pier.
The Barrow's was milling around the pilings (10am-) the drake was diving by himself.
His high forehead and bluish shine on the head.
There were several Scaup feeding nearby and Common Goldeneyes and Buffleheads spread about.  It then swam to the right near the rocky breaker, were I lost sight of it. I cautiously walked the beach, scanning when a short time later Common Goldeneyes 2 drakes and 2 hens in a line and then the Barrow's with his head under his wing. Legendary MdOspreyers' arrived (Bill Hubick, Mikey L, et al) and we searched. (the ducks had flown down river)
I think everyone got looks at it
Here's my list, although others might have spotted more:
Barrow's Goldeneye (drake)1
Scaup- Greater?
Buffleheads
Common Goldeneyes
Ruddy Ducks-distant
Long tailed ducks 2?
 Grebe sp- Pied-billed?
Ring billed gulls
Greater Black backed Gulls 2
Turkey Vultures

Kings Landing Park:
2 Bald Eagles
1 Red breasted Merganser
American Widgeon (flybys)
Mallards (flyovers)
1 Black Duck "
