Greetings,
This morning after watching the sunrise, I spent 30 minutes making one long scan of the ocean from our 132nd street balcony and was delighted to almost immediatly catch a lone Dovkie flying north approx. 200 yrds from shore. A few minutes later, I caught another (same?) Dovie flying south. As if that wasn't enough, ten minutes later I found a beautiful adult Razorbill sitting less than 100 yards from shore in very good light and calm water. My wife and I both were to get good looks.
There where also very good numbers of loons.
Following my long scan I took one more quick scan of the horizon to look for gannet/ducks. Where are the Gannets and Scoters? Full list is below.
