I drove over to Oxford mid-day today to see the snowy owl. The nice folks at
the lab.sent us to the boat yard. As soon as we drove up, a pleasant man
came out and pointed out the owl to us. It was on the roof of a building
next to a cupola. We had excellent views in the scope for 30 minutes ( about
1:00 to 1:30) and the owl was still there when we left.  Many thanks to
Mikey Lutmerding for sending me some great directions on very short notice.
Later we drove over to Blackwater and were surprised to see many Tree
Swallows working the grass near the visitor center.  More early spring?
