Seen in the eve on the way home yesterday, 2/18.  Observed in a small farm pond on Lees Lane off of MD 17 not far from the larger pond (Kershners?).  I wouldn't mention it except that it appeared that the entire point of the bill was white, rather than having a dark tip as shown in the guides.  Of course this could have been due to the gathering gloom and not ideal viewing conditions and my 7X bins.  In all other field marks it was without question a R-N duck.
