Hi Everyone,

This morning Lisa Guy, Kara Wehmueller, and I observed 3 immature WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS in a yard on Waller Rd in Wicomico County, MD.  Other birds of interest along Waller Rd were EASTERN PHOEBE, PINE WARBLER, PALM WARBLER, and a large flock of CHIPPING SPARROWS (more details in full list below).  We were getting an early start on surveying one of our blocks for the Delaware Breeding Bird Atlas--you have to love those border blocks that allow us to help the cause and still bird in MD!

Waller Rd parallels the state line just south of the Wicomico Co border with Delaware.  The yard with the White-crowned Sparrows is on the north side of Waller Rd very close to the intersection with Spring Hill Rd (= first house on the left after turning onto Waller Rd from Spring Hill Rd).
