To my knowledge, there have been no positive or negative sightings since the GBBC last weekend. The most recent eBird report is from 2/15. Same with the GBBC. Don't assume that no reports means no bird! George Jett mentioned that he might go this week but he has a cold so he might not have tried.

Be aware that they will be keeping an eye out for vehicles down the gravel road even though there is a barricade. Make sure to park near the archaeology complex and walk down the trail. Look upriver first near the park bench (accessed through the break in the tree row) then, if it's not there, walk down to the old pier. Parts of the river are not visible from each spot so it can be lurking. Its favorite hangout seems to be near the three pilings, tho.

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Barrows Goldeneye in Calvert Co?

Has anyone seen the Barrow's Goldeneye in Jefferson Park recently? I'm thinking of driving down there tomorrow, so any helpful hints on entry, where to look, etc, would be appreciated. Thanks!

Happy Birding!
