Yesterday was so blustery and windy at Centennial Lake that I almost
turned back and gave up on the idea of looking for birds. But I did
find an intrepid early Phoebe on the north side of the lake about the
conservation area. Outside of lots of Canada Geese, waterfowl were
sparse: 4 buffleheads (2 of each gender), 1 female Canvasback, 5
ring-necked ducks (1 female), 2 hooded mergansers (both genders).
