Special thanks for Amanda's recent post. I arrived at Pemberton manor this
morning of #309 at 7:00 to see the last flight for the night of a single
Short-eared Owl. At 7:07 it dropped into the bush near the culvert under
the levee around the pond. I was unable to re-locate it there.
What was more remarkable was the follow-up appearance of a Northern Harrior
at 7:15, beginning the day shift of a habitat clearly suitable for both
species.
Apparently time-share was not invented by our species.
