Hi all,

12n-2:50pm
Decided to check out Brighton Dam, and see the nice Common Mergansers on the water, then onto Centential Park to
see the Wing winged Crossbills which I'd struck out on previously. When I got there, they weren't there, but thought it wasn't their time yet.
Took a short walk down to the lake, then took a look at the spruces before leaving. Nothing. All of the sudden at 2:43, I heard some notes from within the
tree, and then the branches were alive with WWCrossbills! As previously mentioned, they DO make a munching sound while eating the seed cones.
They were on the tree for about 15 minutes, and then their notes accelerated, and they took off in a northerly direction.
