Dave Brenneman and I stopped by Pemberton Manor, 2113 Starr Road (Route 309), Queen Anne, on our way home from birding in Delaware, today. Three Short-eared Owls were patrolling the fields. While we were there, we met the son (Lawrence Wood) of the owner of Pemberton Manor. He was a very nice gentleman. We showed pictures of the owls in the bird books and Dave offered to send him a series of photos of the Short-eared Owls and Tundra Swan taken on his property. He seemed genuinely pleased and said that he hoped people were enjoying birds on their property.
