I took my girlfriend Amber to Soldier's Delight on Friday evening (3/6) to look for AMERICAN WOODCOCK displays. They did not disappoint. Had several in display flights, and a several others "peenting". Estimate about 5 or so (less the the week before) but we did not stay very long. Also heard a potential BARRED OWL call, but it was a single call, repeated only once, and squirrels rustling leaves made it difficult to distinguish.
