Weather: 
Variable cloudiness, overcast at times; 62-73 degrees; poor visibility with fog/haze; winds W becoming SW then S, 5-13 mph 

Raptor Observations: 
Flight high much of the time with poor visibility making spotting challenging; first migrant kestrel of the season; non-migrant Merlin 

Non-raptor Observations: 
Almost 3100 Red-winged Blackbirds moving north suplemented by about 100 grackles and 400 blackbirds in mixed flocks; 19 Tree Swallows; sizeable movement of Herring Gulls; possible hummingbird; copulating Killdeers

Site Description 
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the 
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are 
from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
