Greetings,

The White-winged Crossbills were found at Centennial Park today about
3 PM. There was a flock of about 12 birds with 2 males among them
foraging in and beneath the spruce trees on the left hand parking area
as you approach the playground. Several birders and another
photographer found the flock. I watched and photographed them for
about 20 minutes when they all flew to a bare deciduous tree near the
concession area by the lake. They rested for about 15 minutes then
took off for parts unknown. We were unable to relocate them. Another
bird of note was a male Eastern Towhee near the bike/walking path that
starts near the playground.
