At least one of the Red-necked Grebe reported by Joe Hanfman on Wednesday was
still on the Potomac, just inside Frederick Co. at Knoxville. Also, in total
between Knoxville and Pleasantville:

57 American Black Ducks
4 Green-winged Teal
46 Common Mergansers
4 Hooded Merganser
6 Wood Ducks
4 Double-crested Cormorants
3 Bald Eagles (all imms)
1 Killdeer
12 Tree Swallows
3 Eastern Phoebes

At what I take to be called Kershner’s Pond (off Rte 17 south of
Burkittsville):
350 Canada Geese
9 Canvasbacks
11 Ring-necked Ducks
3 Lesser Scaup
6 Buffleheads
2 American Coots
