Hi all,

Did some brief birding along the C&O canal, the weather being nice and all. Pennyfield was birdy, but I missed the Blue-wing Teal.
Also made a short visit to Rielly's Lock. Pretty much the same birds reported earlier. This evening at home flock after flock of Canada Geese flew overhead going N/NW. Must have been several hundred birds.
 Here's the list:

Common Merganser
Hooded Merganser
Canada Geese
Wood Duck
Pied Bill Grebe
Horned Grebe
White winged Scoter
Black Scoter (bad lighting on water)
Mallards
Double crested Cormorants
Red shouldered Hawk
Red Tailed Hawk
Turkey Vulture
Ring billed Gull
Mallard
Great Blue Heron
Eastern Phoebe
White throated Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Northern Cardinal
Eastern Bluebird
Tree Swallows
Bluejay
Fish Crows (many)
Chickadee
Titmice
**Spring Peeper's and Gray Tree Frogs calling
