Here in southern Harford, had my FOS Osprey this morning (Mon. 3/23)along the northern shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Yesterday, Eastern Phoebe calling from our yard fence in Creswell, and at least a half dozen Pine Siskins (still) and a pair of Purple Finches (returning - new this weekend) at the feeders. White-throated Sparrows and Dark-eyed Junco numbers are the highest they have been all year around the yard. Junco numbers never did get very high in the yard with maybe 2 or 3 throughout the winter. Northern Cardinals and Eastern Towhees have been very vocal along the yard margins and Red-shouldered Hawk overhead.
