Hi Everyone,

At 11:00 today I arrived at Lapidum where I spent two hours searching for the Little Gull. When I first arrived it was quite foggy and there was not a lot of bird activity. Things picked up as time passed and after an hour of sorting through the Bonaparte's, the Little Gull passed by (mid river or so) with a group of 4 Bonnies! The dark underwings, wing shape, size and flight gave it away and I had good views for about 15 seconds before they cruised up river towards the opposite side.

I tried for another hour to relocate the bird to no avail. As time passed, it seemed many of the Bonaparte's Gulls were headed up river mostly staying closer to the opposite side. I had a great time studying all the Bonaparte's today but left feeling cross eyed after trying to turn each distant Bonny into the Little. It was well worth the effort! Happy birding......
