And surprisingly, this now gated pull-off is public, not private. 
Birders will be considerably inconvenienced by this new municipal policy.

BTW, at North Beach were many Horned Grebes in breeding plumage, as well 
as several Gannets; most ducks have moved on leaving only a few 
Bufflehead and Gr Scaup.
