Weather:
Fog dissipated into mostly cloudy skies; 55-75 degrees; poor to fair
visibility; as thunderstorms approached, winds shifted from N to ENE 3-8
mph, then became strong from the SW 14-16 mph, gusting to 30 mph

Raptor Observations:
As soon as the fog started to lift, the hawks started flying

Non-raptor Observations:
A Dunlin stayed for several hours; 50 Gadwalls on the pond; 30 Horned
Grebes sitting offshore; Snowy Egret; numerous Tree Swallows

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
