Saturday, continuing along Franklintown Road following Dead Run into
Baltimore County, Paul and I found another 14 Yellow-crowned Night Heron
nests, which makes 16, all together. All were in sycamore trees. We also
found approximately 15 herons in or along with water, include a group of
seven in a dead tree fallen over the water. We got a nice look at two
hunting from a bridge near the corner of Dogwood and Ingleside.
Today we walked in Leakin Park from 10:30 to 12:30, and found a Pine Warbler
near the Crimea mansion. We have never seen a Pine Warbler in Leakin Park
before (in 11 years), so it was unexpected. We also had a Field Sparrow,
which is a good bird for the park. Species:
