About an hour ago, I saw two (Yellow) PALM WARBLERS hover foraging in the
long grass beyond my yard. Sudden flashes of yellow would appear and then
disappear a few feet above the grass.

All that popping up and down must have been very tiring: one of the Palms
decided to rest and preen for a while on the brush pile. 

The first BARN SWALLOWS also returned today.
