Partly cloudy becoming mostly cloudy with large sections of dark clouds a
constant feature; 41-52 degrees; excellent visibility; strong SW or WSW
winds, 11-22 mph, gusting to 29 mph
Raptor Observations:
First Broadwings of the season; pairs of courting Red-tailed Hawks,
Ospreys, Cooper's Hawks, and Bald Eagles; Numbers of Red-shouldered Hawks
and Bald Eagles already above what would be expected for the entire season
Non-raptor Observations:
Northern Gannet 1; Common Loon 10; Snowy Egret 1

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
