Birds of Queen Annes County Saturday 4 11- 09 Gannets , Loons etc

 Hi all on Saturday afternoon after the rain stopped I made a trip  to Kent Narrows  were I was able to scope the waters there  and some other nearby areas looking for Gannets and waterfowl. also check ponds along Rt 309 not much there then  birds seen below


Kent Narrows   Grasonville Md  Wells Cove Road 

Northern Gannets   4     way out  had to scope them 
Bufflehead    several 
 other Ducks  way out / to far for ID 
Common Loon   2    in breeding plumage  
Horned Grebe     1 
Black Crowned Night Herons   6     pond  on Rt 18  there 

Goodhand Creek Kent Island  boat Landing 

Great Blue Heron    1
Great Black Backed Gull    2
Osprey    5    fishing here  
Bald Eagle   1 immature   

Dominion  Kent Island  Crab Alley Bay / Eastern Bay 

Common Loon   2   Breeding Plumage 
Horned Grebe    2



Damsontown  Road    Rt481  between Starr  and Queen Anne  near  intersection of Rt309 

No road shoulders here  be very carefull  

Green Winged Teal      12
Blue Winged  Teal     2   drakes  My first of the year 
Greater yellowlegs   1
