Weather:
Mostly sunny until late afternoon when the thunderstorms began; 45-67
degrees; visibility poor to fair with haze; winds mostly light and
variable, 0-6 mph, ending from the S, 5-10 mph
Raptor Observations:
Over 80% of the flight occurred after 1 pm. Nine of ten Merlins after 2
pm. Two adult Bald Eagles circled together low and close for about three
minutes
Non-raptor Observations:
New arrivals: Black-crowned Night Heron, Royal Tern

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
