Went fishing today. I'm sure you're as surprised as I am at that one. It's
still April.

So that gave me the chance to listen all morning to LA WATERTHRUSH singing.
Easily one of the more enchanting songs of the eastern forest. Could listen
to it all day. Saw a few of them teetering along the stream. Nice to have
them back.

Then I got a bit of a surprise as I wandered away from the stream for a bit.
It only sang once but that pretty much lasted all day. Clear as a bell, a
WINTER WREN. Sang me a nice long refrain from it's repertoire. If there is a
more enchanting song than the waterthrush, this is it.

When I got home, we were sitting out on the patio and saw a white bird down
over the lake that made me grab my bins. CASPIAN TERN. Not a common bird
here at all.

Nice day to be out. Tomorrow it rains again. Get out early and bird.
