Had some nice birds at the WSSC "H2O Fest" this afternoon in
West Laurel (PG County), at the T. Howard Duckett dam of the
Rocky Gorge Reservoir, including: BALD EAGLE, CASPIAN TERN,
and 2 COMMON RAVENS (harassing a RED-TAILED HAWK and getting
harassed by a crow sp). There's a nice observation tower
next to the dam that is unfortunately now closed to the
public (except today) due to post-9/11 security measures.

Also had 32 species from the yard this morning (about
1/4-mile from the dam), including: 4 hawk species (COOPER'S,
RED-SHOULDERED, RED-TAILED, and BROAD-WINGED), an EASTERN
PHOEBE, a BROWN THRASHER, and 3 CHIPPING SPARROWS. Wish
those ravens would fly over and get counted as yard birds. :)
