Birds were definitely on the move in Ft. Bayard Park this morning. There were about 6 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS (which don't tend to show up here until migration gets moving in earnest) and 3 PALM WARBLERS. The sparrow flock was interesting today, as FIELD actually outnumbered CHIPPING, with JUNCOS also still present.
A group of 4 PURPLE FINCHES was also around.
Yesterday I forgot to mention a nice-looking flyover Common Loon.
