Fairly quiet morning at Little Bennett. Tons of Field Sparrows, a few Chipping Sparrows (fooling us as they do every year), countless Ruby-crowned Kinglets. We had 4 or so Louisiana Waterthrush, one Common Yellowthroat, two Brown Thrashers, several Northern Parula. Three Tree Swallows. We had one ID challenge - we think it was a female Orange-crowned. Lots and lots of Rufous-sided Towhees. We'd made the mistake of walking up the road that leads to the campground, and were soon in the midst of an SUV parade as moms and dads drove up the road to retrieve their camping scouts. We went to the other side of the park, which was also fairly quiet.
