Checked out Lilypons in the rain this lunchtime, hoping for downed migrants. A
few FOY for me, highlights:

Hooded Merganser - 4 females and two broods, one of 13 ducklings!
Blue-winged Teal - 2
Great Egret - 2
AMERICAN BITTERN -1
Green Heron -2
Double-crested Cormorant - 1
Chimney Swift - 6
Wilson's Snipe - 6
Winter Wren - 1
White-eyed Vireo - 3
Blue-headed Vireo - 1
Eastern Towhee - 2
RUSTY BLACKBIRD - 2

Lots of gnatchatchers, ruby-crowned kinglets and brown thrashers.

Also checked Kirshner's Pond, 2 American Black Ducks and 1 Ruddy Duck

On the Potomac, MD side across from Harper's Ferry, a smattering of
Double-crested Cormorants and lots of swallows. Llittle else- not surprisingly
the river is in spate.
