Yesterday AM we had in our yard here a Gr Crested Flycatcher, as well as
La W'thrush and continuing Wood Thrush and Ovenbird, and B-w Hawk
overhead. More remarkably, we thought to have heard a Balto Oriole but
refrained from counting it w/o further evidence. But this AM we saw not
only a male, but probably a female too, following it about. BAOR is rare
in CV Co as either breeder or migrant; perhaps this one was on its way
to our old house in Bowie.
Also y'day our FOY catbird a few miles off - we've never had one in the
yard so far, and they seem scarcer than thrashers in this area.
