Hi Fred,
 The same holds true for our property here in Woodbine. Thrashers are  more 
common than catbirds. A couple times in spring I hear a catbird, maybe see  
one skulking in the "hedgerow" along the edge, but that's about it. 
Thrashers on  the other hand I see and hear almost daily now. And Mockers are so 
common that  I'm thinking of naming our place "Mockingbird Hill". There is one 
nesting in a  small holly at the corner of our deck, probably just one of 
many.
