Just wondering if others share my impression that there are a LOT of American Goldfinches out this spring. I haven't been out of my neighborhood, so maybe this is peculiar to Georgetown, but they're all over Motrose & Dumbarton Oaks Parks as well as the Female Union Band Cemetery (off 27th & Q St NW). I've never noticed before how many & varied their vocalizations are - they're making it hard to hear anything else!
My limited warbler reconnoitering has yielded Yellow-Rumps (of course), Black & White, Yellow, and a few voices I'm not confident about - possible N Parula, possible Prairie. Also several Hermit Thrushes, though not in the past few days, Baltimore Oriole, and daily Blue-headed and Red-eyed Vireos.
