Hi all last eveing 4 - 27 I walked the road in front of My house Joseph Boyles road near Queenstown Maryland to look and listen for some of the new birds arriving daily . There was not much singing and even less moving and for a good reason as I soon found out . I was walking a short ways when I flushed a Sharp shinned Hawk from a tree near the road . After a few minutes after the sharpie moved on a few bold Tufted Titmouse started scolding and chasing each other. White Throated Sparrows then could be heard chipping and doing the first part of their song [ Old Sam ] then a few bolder ones came out . I could make out the form of a Male wood Duck in the old Beaver impoundment thru the trees near the stream down the road . A Pileated Woodpecker flew overhead traveling from one woods to another then an Eastern Towhee called out then[ Drink your tea ] rung out through the underbrush with him putting in a brief appearance. Then a little while latter two wood Thrushes could be heard in the distance singing their flute like song . A nice way to walk off dinner list below
