A lovely day at the park, with some familiar birder faces.
Highlights included several WOOD THRUSH singing, a lingering
DARK-EYED JUNCO, many RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS, a BROAD-WINGED
HAWK, a flyover COMMON LOON, a HOUSE WREN, and the following
warblers: BLUE-WINGED (1 at Dog Run), BLACK-AND-WHITE (1
male in the woods between the ridge and the field), PALM (2,
same area as B&W), YELLOW-RUMPED (everywhere), OVENBIRD (2
in the vicinity of the stables), and PRAIRIE (observed by
others near the stables parking lot). Full eBird report
follows.
